Cheese or pie plate made of glass with a rattan flower stand.
The glass plate placed on top is easy to remove and wash.
This plate can also be used for all savoury or sweet pies. The advantage is that it has a stand with handles so that you can take it from the oven to the table without burning yourself!
Unlike wicker, which has only one fibre, rattan is made up of a core consisting of a set of fibres forming a very hard grain. It is this core of fibres that is used in the manufacture of our rattan items. A rattan item will therefore be much more résistant than a wicker item.
Even stronger, the rattan flower is the very core of the rattan fibre. It is the finest and most resistant part of the core that is used.
Fiche d'entretien
You can clean rattan using a sponge or a soft brush soaked in warm water and a few drops of washing-up liquid. Always use a soft cloth or a soft brush to avoid damaging the material. Drying is very important, otherwise the rattan may become mouldy.
